The Rainbow Film Festival appreciates the support we received from local politicians:

"My best wishes for the continued success of the Rainbow Film Festival and the excellent work you perform on behalf of Shrewsbury's LGBT constituents"
Daniel Kawczynski MP

"As a prospective parliamentary candidate, local councillor and resident of Shrewsbury, I am very supportive of the diversity and culture within the town and I proudly support the Rainbow Film Festival and its fine efforts to raise awareness of LGBT issues and culture as well as promoting equal rights for all within the community" Jon Tandy Prospective Labour Party Candidate for Shrewsbury and Atcham

"We Liberal Democrats strive for a society that is open, tolerant and free of prejudice. I strongly support the Rainbow Film Festival both as a contribution to the rich cultural variety in Shrewsbury and as part of the campaign against discrimination across the community. If elected to Parliament I would continue the long Lib Dem tradition of speaking up for equality of all people regardless of sexual orientation. There has been much progress in recent years, and much to celebrate. But as long as homophobia still rears its ugly head in workplaces, in classrooms, and even in the home - politicians must continue to speak out." Charles West Parliamentary Candidate: Shrewsbury and Atcham Liberal Democrats

"As the Green Party Parliamentary Candidate and a Shrewsbury born resident, I am pleased to support the Rainbow Film Festival. Whilst great strides have been made to raise awareness of LGBT issues and culture, we as politicians must speak out in support of equal rights for all". Best Wishes Alan Whittaker
