Written & Directed by Angela Robinson, director of countless lesbian shorts, features and TV shows (including the L Word). Professor Marston And The Wonder Women explores the polyamorous relationship between the creator of Wonder Woman – Dr. William Moulton Marston, his wife, Elizabeth and their mutual lover, Olive. With the relationship between the two women foregrounded, this daring feature is perhaps the first of its kind to explore a polyamorous relationship in a non phallocentric manner, where all three persons are equally in love.
Professor Marston And The Wonder Women is a sexy and incredible true story of what inspired Harvard psychologist Professor Marston to create the iconic Wonder Woman character in the 1940’s. In 1945, when Marston is pulled up before the censors to testify on his feminist superhero, criticised for her ‘sexual perversity’, he must be careful not to reveal his personal life and the road to Wonder Woman’s creation.
