SYNOPSIS

In Between follows the lives of three strong, independent minded Israeli-Palestinian women sharing an apartment in Tel Aviv. Away from the constraints of their families and tradition, they find themselves ‘in between’ the free and unfettered lives they’re aspiring to lead and the restrictions still imposed on them by country, faith and kin. Laila, a successful lawyer, wishes to find a man who respects her independence and free-spirited lifestyle. Lesbian, Salma, works in restaurants and bars whilst pursuing her long-held dream of being a DJ and finding the love of a good woman. Laila and Salma’s hard partying ways initially come as a shock to the more traditional and reserved Nour who is studying for a degree and is engaged to community leader Wissam. The three girls are rocked by a series of shocking events that push their beliefs to the limit and change their lives forever, whilst sealing their bonds of friendship.
